Improvements to the south end of Commonage Road

Phase 1 Improvements are starting to approximately 800 metres of Commonage Road, from the southern Carr’s Landing Road intersection to the O’Rourke Family Vineyard access (Phase 1).

This developer-led project will convert the existing gravel surface into a paved collector‑standard roadway and includes a paved shoulder to support safer walking and cycling.  Intersection improvements at Carr's Landing Road and Commonage Road are Phase 2.

Design has been approved by the District and is aligned with the District's road design intentions for Carr's Landing Road. Any permitting required for construction on District-owned lands, or infrastructure, is in place and District engineering staff will be in liaison with the Sureway Construction team.

Construction will be completed by Sureway Construction and Phase 1 will be ongoing through the first week in May.

Traffic control will be in effect  during construction. Please watch the District's social media channels for updates and please observe signage and any directions provided by traffic control personnel.

For inquiries or concerns about the active construction please contact the Sureway construction manager: commonage@sureway.ca
