Change your Mailing Address
The District of Lake Country is unable to accept direct requests for mailing address changes.
To change the mailing address for your property tax and utility accounts, you must issue the request with the Land Titles Office and/or BC Assessment . There are a number of notices and documents which property owners may receive, such as the annual property assessment, property tax, and speculation tax notices which may be delayed if the mailing address is not current.
The Land Titles Office will update your mailing address and share it with various agencies as required, including BC Assessment and the District.
BC Assessment can also update your mailing address and then forward the address change to the District. Note, when filling out their change of address form , Lake Country's Area is 19 and the Jurisdiction is 331.
The District of Lake Country receives regular updates from both the Land Titles Office and BC Assessment to ensure records are consistent across organizations. Please avoid the use of your ward (Oyama, Carrs Landing, Okanagan Centre, or Winfield) when entering your mailing address, instead simply use "Lake Country".
Utility Billing
The District of Lake Country mails property tax notices and utility bills to the registered owners on file, the District does not mail bills to tenants. Both the property tax notice and the utility bill are mailed to the same name and address and are unable to be directed to different addresses.
For most strata properties, a utility bill for water is mailed to the strata or property management company, individual owners of strata property do not typically receive water on their utility bill.
