It’s November 21, 1963. On the eve of their deployment to a growing conflict in Southeast Asia, three young Marines head out for one final boys' night full of debauchery, partying, and perhaps a little trouble. But when Corporal Eddie Birdlace meets Rose, an awkward and idealistic waitress, he enlists her to win a cruel bet with his fellow recruits. With creative partnerships at the core of Bear Theatre’s values, this production will be co-produced by The Creative House and directed by Angela Quinn, a member of the Casting Society of America (CSA), the Casting Directors Society of Canada (CDC), and a voting member of the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television (ACCT). Featuring a live band and music direction by contemporary Canadian music writer and musician Neville Bowman, Dogfight will showcase some of the Okanagan’s strongest musical theatre talent among its cast and crew.
