We're happy to share that the Family Network for Deaf Children (FNDC) and Deaf Youth Today Summer Camp Programs is in town at Camp Arbuckle hosting a Leadership in Training Program and Kids Day Camp.
They provide recreational summer programs for deaf and hard of hearing youth in BC and are the only program that provides camps in ASL. The program also trains and employs all deaf and hard of hearing staff for Camp leaders! They have recently been introduced to the sport of Pickleball which is growing in the Deaf community; and are excited to host a fun Pickleball night for the deaf community on Monday 6-9pm at Benchland Courts.
Deaf Youth Today welcome new players to come and try it out, as well as anyone with experience, to participate in the fun Round Robin with prizes! The August 12th evening event will be offered in an ASL environment to be fully accessible for the deaf community!
