Notice is given pursuant to the Local Government Act (LGA) that Council will consider a Temporary Use Permit.

Any correspondence received in response to this Notice will be distributed to Council. 

PURPOSE

The purpose of this proposed Temporary Use Permit is to allow the property located at 11414 Lakewood Road to be used for the following purposes:

  • to allow the continued operation of a childcare facility within the single detached dwelling; 
  • to facilitate the separation of the residential and daycare uses within the dwelling;
  • to allow a childcare facility to operate as a principal use in the RU1 zone.

A Temporary Use Permit may be used for a maximum period of three years and may be renewed once.  After that time, the applicant may reapply for a new Temporary Permit.  Council may specify conditions under which the Permit may be carried on.

Council is scheduled to consider TUP001119 at the July 7, 2026, Regular Council Meeting which will be held at Municipal Hall, 10150 Bottom Wood Lake Road at 7 pm.
