Temporary Use Permit | TUP00120 | 15720 Oyama Rd
Council approved a temporary permit to allow a café to operate as the main use at 15720 Oyama Road for up to three years. The café will serve food and non-alcoholic drinks from a small, existing building and is expected to add jobs and improve local services. This temporary permit is needed because the current zoning doesn’t normally allow a café as the main use on that property.
Zoning Amendment Bylaw | Z0000253| Copper Hill
Council approved a zoning bylaw update to allow more housing options in the Copper Hill 2 area. The changes will permit up to four housing units per lot and align local rules with new provincial laws aimed at increasing housing supply.
Zoning Bylaw Amendment | Z0000356 | 15515 Barkley Road
Council deferred a decision on the rezoning application and requested staff review longer-term planning considerations. The proposal would allow the large rural property to be subdivided into four smaller lots, but it raises issues around water servicing because there’s no community water system in the area. The application will be brought back after further review before any readings or approvals move forward.
