The District of Lake Country is pleased to announce the completion of the Swalwell Park Update Project and invites residents to celebrate the park’s transformation at a “Kick off to Summer” community celebration on Friday, May 29 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Located in the heart of Town Centre, Swalwell Park is Lake Country’s primary outdoor public gathering space, hosting year-round recreational, cultural, and community activities. The completed upgrades transform the park into a vibrant, inclusive destination where residents of all ages can play, connect, and spend time together.
The Kick off to Summer celebration will officially open the renewed park and feature:
- A formal ribbon cutting with Mayor and Council at 4:00 p.m.
- Live music performances
- Games and activities in the field (prizes too)
- Recreation instructor workout demonstrations
- Snacks, giveaways, and family-friendly fun
Community members are encouraged to attend, explore the new amenities, and celebrate the start of summer in Lake Country.
