Notice is given pursuant to the Local Government Act (LGA) that a Public Hearing will not be held for proposed Zoning Amendment Bylaw 1327, 2026.

Where a Public Hearing will not be held, Council is prohibited from receiving any oral or written submissions from the date of notice until the adoption of the bylaw or conclusion of the application.

PURPOSE

The proposed bylaw is to amend the CD3 – Comprehensive Development (Lakestone) Zone, by adding small-scale multiple housing regulations as follows:

  1. adding small-scale multiple housing as a permitted principal use;
  2. adding development regulations for front, side and rear setbacks, height, and lot coverage;
  3. adding conditions of use for private open space and setbacks between principal buildings;  and
  4. adding conditions of use and requirements to permit small-scale multiple housing on a lot, including the requirement to be within the urban containment boundary, connected to municipal sewer and water services, and located on a lot 4,050m2 less.

Council is scheduled to consider the first, second, and third reading of Bylaw 1327, 2026, at the May 19, 2026, Regular Council Meeting which will be held at Municipal Hall, 10150 Bottom Wood Lake Road at 7:00 pm.
