Council gave first reading to a bylaw that would rezone 9421 Tyndall Road to allow low‑density multi‑family housing, such as duplexes and townhomes. Before moving to second reading, staff must report back on how the development could affect wildlife corridors on the property.
Preliminary ALR Exclusion Application | ALR00201 | 11190 Deldor Rd
A request for the District to act as the applicant for removing 11190 Deldor Road from the Agricultural Land Reserve for future housing and park space was referred back to staff to gather more information, including expert reports on soils, water, creek protection and trail connections, early feedback from the Agricultural Land Commission, and to contact neighbouring property owners about their interest.

2026 Tax Rates Bylaw 1326, 2026
Council approved the 2026 Tax Rates Bylaw without shifting taxes between property classes. This approach slightly lowers the average tax increase for homeowners (about 5.5% instead of 5.75%) while also keeping business and light industrial increases just above 5%, thanks to growth in those sectors. Overall, it modestly reduces reliance on residential taxes and keeps tax ratios for businesses and industry slightly lower than last year and historical averages.
