Agricultural Land Reserve |ALR00178 |1090 Camp Road (Update)
The Agricultural Land Commission (ALC) denied a reconsideration request to use the buildings at 1090 Camp Road as an indoor event venue. Staff will work with the applicant to clarify ALC permitted uses and bring the property located at 1090 Camp Road into compliance with District and ALC regulations.

Notice on Title | 15082 Middle Bench Road
Council approved placing a formal notice on the property’s land title at 15082 Middle Bench Road. The property has long‑standing safety and permit issues related to an unfinished deck that were never resolved.
Grant Application – Economic Trust of Southern Interior (ETSI-BC)
Council approved an application for up to $35,000 in grant funding from the Economic Trust of Southern Interior to help develop an Economic Development Strategy for Lake Country. If approved, staff would manage the grant and add the funding to the 2026 budget. The strategy would set clear goals, priorities, and actions to support long‑term economic growth in the community.
2025 Surplus Allocation
Council allocated $103,310 surplus from the 2025 water fund to the Water Capital Reserve, in line with the District’s reserve policy. While other funds had lower‑than‑target balances, the water fund performed better than expected and generated extra revenue. Putting this surplus into reserves helps support future water infrastructure projects and strengthens the District’s long‑term financial stability.
2025 – 2029 Financial Plan Amendment Bylaw 1325, 2026
Council amended the District’s 2025–2029 Financial Plan to reflect funding decisions made throughout the year. These changes cover grants received, reserve funding, and developer contributions that were not known when the original budget was approved. The amendments do not affect property taxes and simply keep the financial plan accurate and up to date.
2026 Parcel Tax Roll Review Panel Establishment
Council set the date and time for the 2026 Parcel Tax Roll Review Panel meeting to May 5, 2026 at 4:00pm, where any complaints about parcel taxes can be reviewed. The panel is required by law and is made up of appointed councillor. Public notice of the meeting will be shared in advance, as required.
