The District and the Public Art Advisory Commission (PAAC) are proud to announce the winning designs for the Street Banner Program—a community initiative aimed at beautifying public spaces and spotlighting the creative talent from those who have a connection to the area.
Through an open call, the program welcomed submissions from five visual art categories: photography, digital art, collage, painting and illustration and printmaking. The response was remarkable, with entries that reflected the vibrancy, values, and spirit of our community. A total of 20 designs have now been selected to be displayed in Lake Country’s Town Centre.
The banners will be professionally produced and installed throughout the community in August, transforming public streetscapes into open-air galleries. The featured works highlight themes of nature, identity, and civic pride—each inspired in some way by life in Lake Country.

“These banners serve as visual stories—celebrating the creativity and connection we share with Lake Country,” said Janice Larson, Chair of the Lake Country PAAC. “Each piece brings unique and vibrant perspective on what makes our community special.”
Thank you to everyone who submitted artwork and shared a piece of their Lake Country story. You’ve helped turn our streets into a vibrant canvas and inspired community connection through art.
