Live! in Lake Country presented by TD is back and better than ever with seven FREE Friday night concerts in Swalwell Park in July and August!

“We kicked off the Live! in Lake Country summer season with Fleetwood Mac and ABBA tribute acts that pulled in the biggest audience we ever had!” said Cultural Development Coordinator Ryan Donn.  “Over 3,300 people attended the FREE concert on Friday, July 4th at Swalwell Park.  We’ve booked a broad range of performers for audiences of all ages with tribute acts, country, pop and alternative rock, folk, soul and blues,” said organizer Ryan Donn. “The younger folks love the kids zone with weekly activities including things like hula hoops, origami, caricatures, henna and face painting. Swalwell Park will definitely be the place to be Friday nights to meet friends and neighbours and enjoy an evening of entertainment. This week’s country music theme features the very popular Chris Buck Band performing July 11th.”

From humble beginnings playing in bars, to taking the stage at some of the biggest festivals in Canada, Chris has built a reputation for his unapologetic, raw country sound. He’s headlined some of Canada’s biggest festivals including the Calgary Stampede and Big Valley Jamboree; and his music has had 17 million catalogue streams and 2.7 million regular listeners. Now based in Nashville, Chris is reconnecting with the music that first inspired him. So wear your cowboy hat on Friday night to keep the sun off your head and join the country vibe taking over the park July 11.

Concerts run from 7:00-9:00pm. The Lake Country Farmers and Crafters Market, also located at Swalwell Park on Fridays, is again extending its hours to 8 p.m. to accommodate concert goers.

We invite everyone to come out early to pick up snacks at the market and enjoy all the amenities Swalwell Park has to offer. There is a skatepark and water splash park too.  Don’t forget to bring, lawn chairs or blankets for seating. It is recommended that pets be left at home where it is calm and quiet. The activities in the park can be overstimulating and stressful for fur family members.

Consider carpooling, walking or cycling as onsite parking is limited. Swalwell Park parking area will be restricted to drop off and parking for persons with accessible parking passes only. There is parking nearby at George Eliott Secondary School/Creekside Theatre, Lake Country Municipal Hall and Winfield Memorial Hall, as well as Winfield Arena and HS Grenda Middle School.

“We really appreciate the generosity of our returning title sponsor TD and the 2025 onsite event sponsors Stutters, Lake Country Chamber of Commerce as well as Christi and Kristen from the Stone Sisters. Without their generosity we wouldn’t be able to offer such high calibre concerts to the community free of charge,” said Donn.
