WHAT:          Council has been asked to consider a Temporary Use Permit to allow a welding and fabrication business within an existing accessory building on property zoned RLP – Rural Large Parcel 1.

A Temporary Use Permit may be used for a maximum period of three years and may be renewed once.  After that time, they may reapply for a new Temporary Permit.  Council may specify conditions under which the Permit may be carried on.

Zoning Amendment Bylaw 1288, 2025 (15519 Barkley Rd)

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Sections 464(3), 464(4), and 467 of the Local Government Act (LGA) that a Public Hearing will NOT be held for the proposed Zoning Amendment Bylaw 1288, 2025.

WHAT: The purpose of this proposed bylaw amendment is to rezone 15519 Barkley Road from RR1 – Rural Residential 1 to RR2 – Rural Residential 2 to support a proposed one-lot subdivision.

WHENCouncil is scheduled to consider the first, second, and third reading of the bylaw at the July 8, 2025, Regular Council Meeting which will be held at Municipal Hall, 10150 Bottom Wood Lake Road at 7:00 pm.

Road Closure and Land Sale

Bylaw 1253, 2025 (1210 8th Street) 

The District is proposing to close a portion of 8th Street and Maddock Avenue.

The District is proposing to sell the closed roads to Virginia and Peter Palma to be consolidated with their existing property at 1210 8th Street.

The District will receive $66,666.67 in exchange for the land.
