Project Area

The Lodge Rd Sewer Forcemain Partial Twinning project is to increase system capacity and provide critical redundancy through the installation of a second, upsized, forcemain parallel to the existing forcemain. This project is being completed by the District of Lake Country in-house construction and operations team, and the site will be managed by the District's Construction Superintendent in conjunction with Engineering staff.

Temporary 900m Closure of Okanagan Rail Trail (between Lodge Rd. to McCarthy Rd.)

This is a week day closure only and trail will remain open weekends and statutory holidays.

The forcemain will be installed from the Lodge Road liftstation to the intersection of Lodge Rd and the rail trail, follow adjacent to the rail trail to the McCarthy Rd. egress, then east along the egress.

For public safety, efficiency of construction timelines and availability of equipment and crew, 900 metres of the rail trail, between Lodge Rd. and McCarthy Rd, will be closed during week days only throughout construction.  For clarification, Wednesday July 1, the Canada Day statutory holiday, the trail will be kept open. For trail users, alternate routing is available via Lodge Rd. and Bottom Wood Lake Rd. using the regular roadways and sidewalks.
