As Creekside Theatre launches a high calibre 2025 fall season, tickets have sold out quickly for the September 28 live performances by Dan Mangan – two-time JUNO award winner and three-time Polaris Music Prize listed musician and songwriter. A second performance evening has been added for September 29 with tickets to go on sale Friday, June 6.

“When we booked Dan Mangan to perform at the Creekside Theatre last November, I was thinking back to when I first saw him in Victoria a decade ago,” said Lake Country’s Cultural Development Coordinator, Ryan Donn.  “I appreciate his on-stage style and his artist advocacy – co-founding Side Door and ensuring artists keep their full merchandise sales.  We’ve got some really good artists booked at Creekside Theatre this fall – like Mia Kelly October 2, Valdy October 5, The Grapes of Wrath Acoustic Duo on November 8, and Cruzeros November 21, to mention just a few. With lots of free parking, and well-known acts, Creekside Theatre is becoming a popular entertainment destination in the Okanagan with shows often selling out early.”

Dan Mangan lives in Vancouver, BC with his wife and two sons; and has toured extensively in North America, Europe & Australia. His most recent album “Natural Light” is a return to folk music’s classic underpinnings of political resistance. Over two decades, Mangan has managed an enviably strong creative ethic, and his integrity as both a singer and songwriter has only strengthened with age. For decades Dan has brought signature wit, sonic innovation and lyrical insight to the indie/folk community, garnering him a fiercely dedicated and deeply involved audience. So it is no surprise that tickets to his performance at Creekside Theatre were sold out soon after it was announced.

Dan Mangan has partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 per ticket goes to Rainbow Railroad and their work helping at-risk 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals get to safety around the world. The opening act for his September 28 and 29 shows is Bells Larsen.
