Development Permit with Variance Application | DP001059| 11437 Bottom Wood Lake Road 
Council approved the Development Permit with Variance for the property at 11437 Bottom Wood Lake Road. The six-storey building will feature commercial space on the ground level and 100 rental apartments above. 

Departmental Reports 

Road Closure | RC2024-003 | 1210 8th Street
Council approved three readings to Road Closure Bylaw 1253, 2025 for 1210 8th Street. The property owners have applied to close and purchase a 73.6m2 section of 8th Street and a 287.5m2 section of Maddock Avenue adjacent to their property to fix a garage encroachment and add landscaping for privacy, while keeping a BC Hydro easement in place.  

Agricultural Advisory Committee (AAC) Terms of Reference (TOR) | Amendment
Council approved amending the Agricultural Advisory Committee Terms of Reference (TOR) with clearer language articulating the residency requirements for membership. 

Hwy 97 to Glenmore Rd Connecting Road Design Budget Allocation
Council approved revising the 2025 Financial Plan to allocate $265,000 from the Transportation Infrastructure Reserve to fund the design work for a new road connection between Hwy 97 and Glenmore Road.  

Council Procedures Bylaw 1282, 2025 | Meeting Management
Council approved three readings of Council Procedures Bylaw 1282, 2025. Proposing minor changes—like starting public hearings earlier (at 5:30 p.m. instead of 7 p.m.) and beginning Council meetings immediately after public hearings, are intended to allow more people to attend and to ensure meetings finish by 11 p.m. as well as follow best practices.
