Council gave three readings to Zoning Amendment Bylaw 1327, 2026 which updates zoning rules in the Lakestone (CD3) area (Bylaw 1327) to allow more flexible housing options inline with provincial housing requirements.

Community Engagement Grant | Lake Country Garden Club
Council approved a $10,000 grant request to support the Lake Country Garden Club’s new demonstration garden at Swalwell Park. The garden will be a public space to learn about sustainable, local-friendly gardening. Funding will help cover professional services to ensure the project is completed successfully in 2026.
Grant-in-Aid Application | GIA2026-002 | Lake Country Community Fridge
Council approved a $2,000 grant to support the Lake Country Community Fridge. The funding will help cover food, upkeep, and minor equipment needs. The program continues to provide support to residents and has received funding in past years.
Grant Application | Mini Peaks Legacy Project
Council supported applying for funding to help build an indoor artificial turf field as part of the new Community Centre. If approved, the grant would help cover costs and provide added programming linked to the 2026 FIFA World Cup legacy. Staff were authorized to apply for and manage the funding and update the budget if successful.
