Water Service Interruption and Boil Water Notice

Due to a break in the watermain that supplies an area of Winfield (see listed addresses in affected neighbourhood below), please read the following information carefully. It outlines how the repair will be undertaken, how your water supply will be affected, and the steps you must take once water service resumes.

This notice is in effect as of: Monday, April 13, 2026, at 9:00 a.m

1. Water Service Interruption

Please be advised that water service will be temporarily interrupted on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to allow crews to complete necessary maintenance and repair work on the water system.

During this time:

  • Customers will experience no water service or significantly reduced water pressure
  • Residents are encouraged to store sufficient water for essential uses

Once service is restored, you may notice temporary air in the lines or discoloured water. If this occurs, please run a cold‑water tap for several minutes until the water clears.

2. Boil Water Notice

As soon as the water is shut off at 9:00 a.m. Monday, April 13 and for a period of time following completion of the watermain repair and restoration of service, the District of Lake Country, in conjunction with Interior Health, is issuing a BOIL WATER NOTICE for customers listed in the affected area on the Beaver Lake Water System, effective: Monday, April 13, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.

To protect public health, all customers in the affected area must boil water or use a safe alternative.

Water intended for:

  • Drinking
  • Washing fruits and vegetables
  • Preparing beverages or ice
  • Brushing teeth

must be boiled for at least one (1) minute. Once boiled, allow water to cool and store it in a clean, covered container.

Alternatively, customers may use:

You will be notified when the Boil Water Notice has been rescinded.
