The ParticipACTION Community Challenge, presented by Novo Nordisk, returns to Lake Country this June. Open to communities across Canada, this national initiative encourages people to get active while competing for $100,000 to invest in local sport, recreation, and physical activity opportunities.
Last year, Lake Country ranked 8th in BC and 50th in Canada out of approximately 400 participating communities—we’re aiming even higher this year. With support from local organizations, we’re calling on residents, workplaces, schools, clubs, and community groups to get involved and help bring home the top prize.
How you can participate:
Whether it’s daily walks, bike rides, gym sessions, or organized programs and events, every activity counts. Starting June 1, residents can register as an active group and track their participation through the ParticipACTION website. The more activities logged, the better Lake Country's chances of being named Canada's Most Active Community.
In addition to the national grand prize, awards are also available for the most active community in each province and territory, as well as participating organizations.
