The Lake CounTREE program is now open for orders. Lake Countree is a residential planting initiative developed to encourage local residents to help grow and preserve Lake Country's urban forest canopy.
2025 is the fourth year for this initiative where Lake Country residents can purchase one tree per household for the low price of $50 (incl. GST).
With 30 trees of each of 4 varieties, there is a total of 120 trees available for purchase (ONE per household) at $50 each. The District of Lake Country pays the other $100 to cover the full cost of $150 per tree so residents can help increase and maintain our urban forest canopy in our community with WaterWise and FireSmart trees. Get your order in early so you are not disappointed and miss out this year.
Online or in-person (at Municipal Hall) ordering will continue until the trees are SOLD OUT and tree pick-up day is Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Kel Lake Garden Centre on Shanks Rd.
