Julian Taylor and Logan Staats share their songs and stories with audiences across Canada this Fall, making a stop in the Okanagan at Lake Country’s Creekside Theatre Wednesday, November 26th. These award-winning recording artists have teamed up to share the stage and present their heartfelt storytelling in an acoustic format that promises musical surprises throughout the evening.

“We’re thrilled to be able to host internationally acclaimed Indigenous artists like Julian Taylor and Logan Staats at Creekside Theatre,” said Ryan Donn, Cultural Development Coordinator and Creekside Theatre Manager. “They present stories in a unique musical format that engages audiences of all ages and musical genre interests.”

Julian Taylor is an award-winning Toronto-based singer-songwriter. His second solo acoustic album – The Ridge – won him Solo Artist of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards and was nominated for two JUNO Awards (contemporary Folk Album of the Year and Indigenous Artist or Group of the Year), among other award nominations. In 2022 Taylor won best male artist in the International Acoustic Music Awards and scored five Native American Music Award nominations.  Julian Taylor has also been nominated for a CFMA award for Contemporary Singer of the Year for 2025.

Logan Staats hails from Six Nations of the Grand River. Fresh from his triumphant performance at the Los Angeles Kia Forum in front of 18,000 screaming fans, Mohawk artist Logan Staats continues to prove his performance and songwriting ability resulting in a JUNO Award nomination for his album “A Light in the Attic’, the TD SOCAN Indigenous Songwriter Award, and a Native American Music Award win in the US. He has brought his raw and electrifying performances across Canada and around the world, and acted as support for Mumford & Sons, Eric Clapton and Steve Earle.

With a knack for crafting words over memorable melodies and a passion for performing, Vancouver-based alternative folk/country singer/songwriter Joe Abbott will warm up the audience as the opening act for the evening.
