The cofferdam and water bypass system were installed in 2024. The contractor is actively working to reconstruct the existing dam.

The total design and construction budget is $9.025 million. To date, the District has secured $5.5 million in grant funding to support this project

Project description

The structure responsible for releasing water from the District’s Beaver Lake Dam into Upper Vernon Creek is due for replacement. The project involves constructing a temporary cofferdam in front of the existing structure, followed by the reconstruction of the intake tower. The project scope also includes improving access to lake storage and automating lake releases to enhance operational efficiency.
