Planning and Development Applications:
Area Structure Plan | ASP00005 | 9850 Chase Road (Lakestone)
Council approved the amendments to zoning bylaw 1316, 2026. The changes update the Lakestone zoning area to a more modern “CD3” designation, allow home-based businesses, clarify regulation references, and rezone 9850 Chase Road to support future residential access and development.
Development Variance Permit| DVP00428| 15830 Whiskey Cove Rd
Council approved a development variance permit allowing the property owner at 15830 Whiskey Cove Road to build a U-shaped dock, which isn’t normally allowed under current dock‑shape rules. The new design replaces an old boat lift, moves the lift into deeper water, and is intended to improve safety for loading and unloading boats.
Agricultural Land Reserve | ALR00198 | 10220 Konschuh Rd
Council supported allowing a second home at 10220 Konschuh Road to provide on‑site help for the farm, as long as the building is placed at least 14 metres from the east property line. The proposed house is outside the Agricultural Land Reserve on low‑quality soil, avoids impacts to farming, and meets both zoning and Official Community Plan policies.
