A Request for Information (RFI) is a request for building records for a specific property. These requests are usually from realtors, homeowners or builders. If available, the following records are provided in response to an RFI:
- Building permit
- Final inspection report
- Location survey
- Occupancy permit
The District does not guarantee the availability of information for all files.
Making a Request for Information
You must be the homeowner or have written authorization from the homeowner to get access to records. If you are requesting records the District requires a signed Records Authorization Form [PDF/205KB]or a completed/signed Multiple Listing Contract (MLC) or Accepted Offer letter.
Cost: RFI requests are $42.84 (includes GST and credit card processing fee). Files will be sent electronically between 5-10 business days.

- BC Housing Registration New Home Warranties (HPO)
- Letter of Assurance - Schedule A, B's (B1, B2), C-A
- Construction drawings/engineering drawings which may include:
- Architectural
- Elevation
- Plumbing
- Structural
- Electrical
- Mechanical
- Truss & Joist
- Site plan
*If floor plans are included, these must be reviewed with the Corporate Officer prior to release.
The District does not guarantee the availability of information for all files.
The District reserves the right to withhold or redact (black out) information to protect personal privacy or information that may be harmful to business interests of a third-party.
Records outside of the District's control must be requested from other organizations, such as:
Interior Health Authority (IHA)
- Letter of authorization/certification
- Septic design approval and on site sewerage system
Storage tank removal permit
- Electrical permit
Gas permit
- Covenants, easements, right of way
- Notice on title
- State of title certificate
Survey plans and certificates
- Property assessment
