WHAT:             Council has been asked to consider a Temporary Use Permit to allow the use of three existing docks located on three adjacent properties for commercial purposes.

A Temporary Use Permit may be used for a maximum period of three years and may be renewed once.  After that time, they may reapply for a new Temporary Permit. Council may specify conditions under which the Permit may be carried on.

Proposed change to hours of liquor service - Turtle Bay Marine Pub

Turtle Bay Marine Pub has made application to the Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch proposing a change to hours of liquor service (outside service hours):

Current hours: 

9:00 AM to 12:00 AM Sunday - Tuesday 

9:00 AM to 1:00 AM Wednesday – Thursday 

9:00 AM to 2:00 AM Friday – Saturday

Proposed hours: 

9:00 AM to 2:00AM Monday through Sunday

Public Hearing - Copper Hill

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Sections 464(1) and 466 of the Local Government Act (LGA) that a Public Hearing will be held for the proposed Official Community Plan Amendment (OCP00062) Bylaw 1284, 2025 AND Zoning Amendment (Z0000253) Bylaw 1285, 2025.

WHAT: The purpose of these proposed bylaw amendments is to change the:

  1. Future land use designation of the subject property 

From: Urban Residential, Industrial, and Parkland & Conservation 

To:       Urban Residential, Industrial, Parkland & Conservation, and Institutional

  1. Zone of the subject property 

From: RU1 – Small Scale Multiple Housing

Any correspondence received in response to this Notice will be distributed to Council and may be included in the Council Agenda package and published on the District of Lake Country.

If you believe your interest in property is affected by the above noted application, you shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to be heard at the Public Hearing or present a written submission in advance.  Written submissions for a public hearing will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on the date of the Public Hearing.
