The District of Lake Country held the fourth of five advance polls Monday, April 20 at the Okanagan Centre Hall with 335 electors casting their ballot. A total of 2080 electors (22.33% of eligible voters) cast ballots thus far at advance polls. General Voting Day is Saturday, April 25.

"The District acknowledges residents' concerns about tax increases, but by partnering with other governments we have taken steps to mitigate the cost of acquisition," said Mayor James Baker. "Protecting this corridor will be an asset to our community that can't be underrated."

"One of our most senior residents is Anne Land at 101 years old next month," said Chief Election Officer Reyna Seabrook. "She appreciated being able to vote close to her home in Okanagan Centre, but said she would have gone miles to vote in this referendum."

Tuesday, April 21 (8 a.m. 8 p.m.) at Municipal Hall is the last advance poll.

General Voting Day is Saturday, April 25 (8 a.m. 8 p.m.) at the George Elliot Secondary School, Community Gym.
