Reconsideration of Resolution:
Under the Mayor’s authority, Council reconsidered a resolution for Development Variance Permit (DVP2021-018) to vary the sewer, fire flow and cul-de-sac length for the former Owl’s Nest property located at 4111 Evans Road. Council passed an amended motion requiring the developer to ensure the sewerage system is constructed in accordance with designs from a qualified professional and to provide security for the maintenance, repair and replacement of any onsite sewerage system. The developer Cantiro Group is working towards approval to develop a 38-unit strata resort community on the property. The newly added resolution makes financial provisions to the District in the event there is a failure with the sewage system.
Public Comment:
Lynn Lashuk, member of Lake Country Farmers’ Institute (LCFI) asked Council for an update on who has been appointed to the District’s Water Services Advisory Committee and the status of the water and conservation plans.
