Delegations:

Jen Casorso of Urban Matters presented Central Okanagan Poverty and Awareness Strategy.

Matt Thomson, Urban Matters presented the RDCO Regional Housing Strategy. 

Development Permit:

Council approved a Development Permit for Lot 3 Carr’s Landing Road which allows the applicant to construct a single-family home on the vacant property. 

2021 Annual Report:

Council adopted the 2021 Annual Report.

Transit Study Update:

Shilpa Panicker, Senior Transportation Manager at Watt Consulting Group provided Council with an update on the Transit Study. 

Carr’s Landing Road Review:

Matthew Salmon, Director of Engineering updated Council on upcoming engagement plans relating to the mobility and transportation review of the Carr’s Landing Road corridor. 

Notice of Motions:

Council supported two notices of motion brought forward by Councillor Reed:

  1. In response to the BC Electoral Boundaries Commission reconfiguration of electoral district boundaries, that the Mayor send a letter requesting the entirety of the District of Lake Country remain within one electoral boundary.                
  2. The Mayor send a letter to the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure requesting a meeting to discuss funding of critical safety improvements for the intersection of Highway 97 and Crystal Waters Road.
