Council Meeting on March 7 to hear comments from interested parties

The District of Lake Country is proposing closing an unbuilt portion of Whiskey Cove Road adjacent to the property located at 15892 Carr’s Landing Road, as shown on Plan EPP124539, and removing its highway dedication for the purpose of selling the land to be consolidated with the adjacent parcel, owned by Martin and Catherine Burnely. The District is being offered $250,000 in exchange for the land.

Bylaw 1194-2023, a Bylaw to close the area of road on PLAN EPP124539 and  remove its dedication as a highway was given three readings by Lake Country Council at its meeting January 17, 2023. The proposed road closure is now being advertised to seek comment from impacted parties.

Council will hear from impacted parties and consider adoption of the bylaw at its regular Council
Meeting on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 beginning at 7 p.m.
