A Party in the Park' scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2015 is the kick-off event for public engagement on a new Parks and Recreation Master Plan for the community.
"Rather than your typical Open House to get public input, we'd like to invite the community to Come Play! and have some fun in one of the destination parks in Lake Country," said Director of Infrastructure Services, Greg Buchholz. "Come Play! is the theme for the Parks and Recreation Master Plan so we'd like there to be some fun and recreational activities for everyone of all ages to get involved in during the public engagement process. We need everyone out there September 19th."
"Residents' input on parks and recreation spaces, facilities, trails, programs and services offered by the District of Lake Country will help the municipality make important decisions on future community investment," said Mayor James Baker. "We want people to come out to the Party in the Park' event for some family fun and to let us know what they value about parks and recreation in the community. The Master Plan will guide planning and decision-making related to parks and recreation for the next 20 years."
