PUBLIC NOTICE:  Public Hearing Waived

WHAT: The Public Hearing for the proposed Zoning Amendment (Fencing Requirements) Bylaw 1211, 2023 is waived. To reduce injury and mortality to deer and other wildlife the amendment proposes to introduce fencing requirements that prohibit fence pickets and finials on all fences and restricts double horizontal top rails spaced less than 45 cm apart.

WHEN: First, second and third readings will be considered at the February 6, 2024 Regular Council Meeting.

PROPERTY: No properties would be rezoned with this proposal.

INFORMATION: File materials are available at the Municipal Hall, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding weekends and statutory holidays or by email request to admin@lakecountry.bc.ca. Any correspondence received in response to this Notice will be included in the Council Agenda package and published on the District of Lake Country website no later than Friday prior to the Council Meeting.

PUBLIC NOTICE of Road Closure and Land Sale

(14876 Oyama Rd) Bylaw 1221, 2023

The District is proposing to close a section of road and sell it to the adjacent property owner (see plans EPP130243 and EPP130244).

•  Purchaser is: Nicole Gentner

•  The sale is a transfer of the land in Fee Simple

•  The District will receive $75,600.00 for the land

•  Those who consider they are affected by the road closure bylaw may make representation at the Regular Council Meeting at 7:00 pm February 6, 2024.
