Lake Country is working on a "seasonal moorage" program.

The September 15, 2015 moratorium prohibiting the installation of any more buoys is still in effect until regulations setting out a moorage buoys program are approved by Council.

Bylaw Enforcement is issuing tickets for any boats moored illegally for longer than 24 hours on any moorage buoys that have been placed in the lakes after the 2015 moratorium.

The province is responsible for issuing registration numbers for private moorage buoys, but placement of the buoys must comply with municipal zoning.
