Council has been asked to consider Road Closure and Removal of Highway Dedication Bylaw (Gable Road) 1049, 2018 (RC2017-001) which proposes to close and remove portions of the Gable Road end.

The District of Lake Country intends to transfer the closed road portions, approximately 210m in length, to 3 adjacent property owners, Mr. & Mrs. Elliott ($333,391.28), Mr. & Mrs. MacDougall ($282,289.65) and Mr. & Mrs. Portz ($726,055.64), in exchange for fair market value of the lands, $1,341,736.56 dollars. 

Council will consider first, second and third reading of Bylaw 1049, 2018 at the March 6, 2018 Regular Council Meeting at 7 p.m. and invites anyone who considers themselves affected to submit written comments prior to the meeting or make presentation at the meeting on this specific agenda item.



Copies of the proposed bylaw and relevant background documents can be viewed on the District’s website at in the meeting agenda package published online the Thursday before the meeting; or visit the District of Lake Country Municipal Hall (2nd Floor) from Wednesday, February 21, 2018 to Tuesday, March 6, 2018 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., excluding weekends and statutory holidays.
