Saturday, October 15 is Voting Day in Lake Country!
Lake Country, BC – This Saturday, October 15, Lake Country voters will elect a new Council and determine the result of the referendum to purchase waterfront property in the 2022 Local General Election. Polls open at 8 a.m. at George Elliott Secondary School, 10241 Bottom Wood Lake Road, and will close at 8 p.m. Unofficial election results will be posted here, on the District's website, as soon as they are tallied.
Acclaimed to Lake Country Council for the 2022-2026 term is Mayor-Elect Blair Ireland and Councillors-Elect Cara Reed, Carr's Landing Ward, and Todd McKenzie, Oyama Ward.
Two Councillors At Large and one Ward Councillor for Okanagan Centre Ward and one for Winfield Ward are to be elected on Saturday. Each voter may vote for two Councillors At Large and one Councillor to represent their Ward.
