Regular Council Meeting Highlights - May 16, 2023
Public Comment: Lynn Lashuk, member of Lake Country Farmers’ Institute (LCFI) established April 2023, encouraged Council to postpone adoption of the District of Lake Country Water Conservation Plan and Water Master Plan. Ms. Lashuk indicated LCFI is using the BC Water Calculator to demonstrate water requirements for farmers in Lake Country; and expressed interest in contributing to the sustainability of current and future generations of farmers in Lake Country welcoming new members from all farm types to join the LCFI.
