Council Meeting Highlights - March 16th, 2021
Council approved the “U” shaped development variance for the dock located at 15738 Whiskey Cove Road. Council denied two separate variance applications which included an increase to the width of the dock and extension to the length.
Council was given an update on compliance issues related to the property at 10850 Lodge Road. The owner of the property has been given until December 2022 to rectify bylaw infractions however must work with District staff to correct access on Lodge Road and remove the RV parked on the property.
Council supported the application from 14011 Oyama Lake Road & 14052 Middle Bench Road to have the lot line adjusted to accommodate a subdivision. Council’s endorsement of the application will be forwarded to the agriculture land commission (ALC) who will make the final decision.
Council approved the placement of an estimated 1000 m³ of fill to level a 250 m² area for a livestock pen and grass pasture located at 12450 Trewhitt. The applicant does still require an approved section 11 from the Province that allows Work In and About a Stream.
Parks Development Cost Charge Amendment:
Council gave three readings to amend park DCC’s charges. If the Province approves the amendments the revised fee structure will be presented to Council for adoption.
Council adopted the 2021-2025 Financial Plan Bylaw.
