REMINDER:

Property tax notices have been delivered to all District of Lake Country property owners and payments are due by July 4, 2023. A 10% penalty will be charged on unpaid balances after July 4, 2023. Payment options include:

Boil Water Notice - Eastside Private Water Utility

Eastside Utilities (private water utility) in the Carr's Landing area of Lake Country is posting a Boil Water Notice effective immediately (Friday June 30, 2023).

Eastside Utilities and the Interior Health Authority recommend that customers drink boiled water or a safe alternative until further notice.

Water intended for drinking, washing fruit or vegetables, making juices, ice, or infant formulas, and for brushing teeth should be boiled for a minimum of one minute. There is a potable water tap,...

PUBLIC NOTICE:  RESUME NORMAL IRRIGATION PRACTICES

Effective 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 28 all properties connected to the Winfield Okanagan Centre Water System, including farms, can resume normal irrigation practices.

Monday, June 26 it was necessary to enact temporary restrictions on irrigation for all properties within the Winfield Okanagan Centre Water System.

Effective immediately (9:30 a.m. Monday, June 26) the District of Lake Country is issuing a DO NOT IRRIGATE for all properties connected to the Winfield Okanagan Centre Water System, including farms. (See attached map)


This action is necessary due to a recent significant rainfall event in the upper watershed, which has resulted in increased turbidity levels. As a result, the District is relying solely on Okanagan Lake source to supply the water system and avoid issuance of a boil water notice. The...

Regular Council Meeting Highlights - June 20, 2023

Zoning Amendment:

Public hearing was held for Council to hear from the public on the application to rezone the property at 11470 Bond Road, from RR2 - Rural Residential 2 to RR3 - Rural Residential 3, to facilitate a 3-lot subdivision. There were no comments from the public however Council did hear from the applicant. Following the public hearing Council gave third reading to the zoning amendment bylaw.
