Lake CounTree program returns

Lake Country residents can purchase a tree at a reduced cost of $50.00 beginning Tuesday July 25th. The Lake Countree purchase program is supported by the District of Lake Country and is meant to encourage community members to increase and maintain the community urban forest canopy. 2023 is the second year for the program and by purchasing and planting a tree, you will be making a positive impact on the environment.

Trees can be purchased up until September 15th or until they are sold out....

Lake Country urging residents and visitors to be prepared for hot weather July 21, 2023

The District of Lake Country is encouraging all residents, businesses, and visitors to take care of themselves as we experience higher temperatures over the next few days.

Environment Canada issued a Heat Warning for the Okanagan Valley and Environment Canada is forecasting daytime highs to range between 35 to 38 degrees Celsius with overnight lows expected to be 18 degrees Celsius.

Lake Country Implements Stage 1 Water Restrictions for Water Customers

Effective Monday, July 10th, Stage 1 water restrictions are in place for all District of Lake Country water customers. With significantly less rain than normal this spring, and very dry conditions in the valley bottom, the District is implementing Stage 1 watering restrictions.  The purpose of Stage 1 watering restrictions is largely to create awareness that conditions are dry, and we all need to do our part to conserve water.
