District Offices Closed Monday to observe Queen's Funeral

September 14, 22 - Lake Country

On Monday, September 19, District of Lake Country offices will be closed for a one-time holiday to observe the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Essential services will remain in operation during the office closure. Recreation programs will be cancelled and refunds provided. The Lake Country branch of the Okanagan Regional Library will also be closed September 19.

Campfire ban ends in Central Okanagan fire areas

Effective immediately, the ban on campfires has been lifted in most Central Okanagan areas.  Campfires are not permitted at any time within the City of Kelowna. 

 

The ban on campfires within local government fire jurisdictions in the Central Okanagan has been in place since July 28, 2022.  Recent showers and cooler, seasonal temperatures have lowered the potential fire danger rating from low to moderate.
