Hockey youth join seniors for clean up kick off!

At 10a.m. Wednesday morning (April 1st) a unique gathering of volunteers including brawny hockey players, naturalists, and various walking groups will join forces for a huge clean-up of Mission Creek Regional Park. And they're challenging YOU to do the same, use 20 minutes of your day for some good old fashioned spring cleaning at your favorite park, stretch of roadway, neighborhood, school, or place of business.

Okanagan Rail Corridor acquisition update

The Okanagan Indian Band has informed the inter-jurisdictional acquisition team it plans legal action to try and block the sale of the discontinued CN rail corridor between Kelowna and Coldstream.
The letter of intent from the law firm of Ratcliff & Company was sent to CN, the federal and provincial governments, City of Kelowna, District of Lake Country and the Regional District of the North Okanagan. If you won't be in town for the referendum on April 25, 2015 or during any of the advance polls on April 15, 16, 17, 20 and 21, you may still be able to vote by mail.
