Unlicensed Dog Audit Underway

Approximately 2,400 dog licenses from 2014 have not been renewed this year in the Central Okanagan.
Starting late next week, Regional District Bylaw Enforcement officers will, in addition to their regular duties, focus on an initiative to update the dog license registry. Dogs in the Central Okanagan must be licensedthere is zero tolerance' for unlicensed dogs resulting in a fine of $300.

Lake Country Parks winterization Oct 19-30

The Parks crews are busy winterizing all of Lake Country parks during the last half of October.
The soccer fields are now closed and ball parks will be closed Oct 26 after the last tournament of the season.
The irrigation is being blown out starting October 19th; and the washrooms will be closed at Jack Seaton Park and Coral Beach Park before October 30.

With Fire Prevention Week October 4-10, 2015 came the opportunity for elementary students to be Fire Chief for a Day! Congratulations to students: Cyler Hodges from Peter Greer, Phoenix Drinkwater from Oyama Traditional, and Zach Witzel from Davidson Road elementary schools.
