Lake Country, BC Folk Festival in March catapults forward after successful Blues Festival

The sold out crowd at the Creekside Theatre and Lake Country Community Complex Saturday, January 28th shared their feedback and enthusiasm for the festival format and dynamic atmosphere at this new type of event in Lake Country. Council meetings are now more accessible to individuals with hearing loss. The District of Lake Country is pleased to announce the installation of the Auris Loop assistive listening system in the Municipal Hall Council Chambers.

It's easier for dog owners in the Central Okanagan to save when they purchase or renew their dog license for 2017. And renewing can be quicker than ever!

That's thanks to the My Dog Matters' App created for the Regional District of Central Okanagan. The App is believed to be the first developed for local governments in Canada and brings the opportunity to renew a dog license right to an owner's mobile device.
