2016 Budget meetings start in October

A series of Council meetings have been scheduled for deliberation on the 2016 Budget considerations.
These meetings are held in the Council Chambers at Municipal Hall (10150 Bottom Wood Lake Road) and are open to the public. Agendas will be posted by the end of the week prior to each meeting.

Lake Country increases focus on arts, culture and community with a new staff position

The addition of a Cultural Development Coordinator position has recently been approved by Mayor and Council and a posting has just gone up on the website today. The new position will be responsible for the coordination of the community theatre, open air performances, public art supervision, cultural and heritage events, and working with various community organizations.

Water Main Break on Shanks Road

There has been a water main break on Shanks Road. Notices are currently being handed out to the affected homeowners. The water will be off from approximately from 10:00am to 4:30pm today, September 8.
Water supply, when resumed, may be discolored due to deposits in pipes it is not harmful as the water has been disinfected. Running an outside tap for several minutes should eliminate both air and discolored water problems.

WATER OUTAGES WILL TAKE PLACE:
SEPTEMBER 10th from 9a.m. to 6p.m.
SEPTEMBER 15th at 9a.m. to SEPTEMBER 16th at 5a.m.
Water outages will be required to complete the Bond Road Water Upgrades.

Effective September 1, the ban on campfires was lifted in most Central Okanagan areas. Campfires are not permitted at any time within the City of Kelowna.
