Win-Win solution proposed for expanded public access to Carr’s Landing lakefront

Both the sale and purchase of lakefront land in Carr’s Landing will be on the Council agenda March 6th.  Following a well-attended Council meeting November 7th, 2017where the proposed sale of Gable Road end property was discussed and deferred, the District met with representatives of the Carr’s Landing Community and Recreation Association and other property owners in the area.

Council has been asked to consider District-initiated Zoning Amendment (DLC) Bylaw 1043, 2018 (P2017-013), which would improve ease of implementation and regulation understanding.


Zoning Bylaw 561, 2017 would be amended by:

 1.1 Adding the following definition to Section 3.3 in alphabetical order: 

AIR CONDITIONER AND/OR HEATING PUMP UNITS - Means mechanical cooling, heating and other similar equipment.
