PSA: Local election nomination packages now available

Lake Country, BC – Anyone thinking of running as a Candidate in the October 20, 2018 Local Election will want to read through all of the information provided in the Elections section of the lakecountry.bc.ca website. Candidate Nomination Packages are available for download, although picking up a hard copy is recommended. The packages are available at Lake Country Municipal Hall (10150 Bottom Wood Lake Road) from Friday, July 27 to Friday, September 14, 2018.

Campfire Ban starts noon July 26, 2018

With the High to Extreme Fire Hazard, starting this Thursday, all campfires will be prohibited throughout all Central Okanagan municipalities and electoral area Fire Service Areas.

Eastside Water Utility posts Boil Water Notice in Carr's Landing

Interior Health Authority has requested that Eastside Utilities (private water utility) in the Carrs Landing area of Lake Country BC move from a Water Quality Advisory to a Boil Water Notice.

The change to a Boil Water Notice is due to postive samples of indicating bacteria found during regular sceduled sampling.
