Official Community Plan & Zoning Amendment:

Council gave third reading to rectify several outstanding land issues at 16012 Oyama Road. Resolving the issues will allow the property owner to complete a subdivision in accordance with historical ALR exclusion approval and to realign OCP and zoning map boundaries to reflect existing uses and a contemplated boundary adjustment subdivision.

Lake Country BC, June 1, 2021: The Lake Country Arts Council (LCAC) in conjunction with the District of Lake Country will be offering local homeowners micro-grants to support live music in their community. The goal is to not only support local performers who have been hit hard this past year due to COVID-19 restrictions, but to create a safe, positive neighbourhood experience for residents of Lake Country.

The Canadian flag on the Lake Country Municipal Hall has been lowered to half-mast to express our collective sense of deep sorrow and loss that is shared across Canada following the discovery of the undocumented remains of 215 children at the former residential school site in Kamloops.

This week all property owners within the District of Lake Country will be receiving 2021 tax notices. Mark your calendar as full payment is due July 2nd.

New for 2021 – You Must Apply for the Home Owner Grant through the Province NOT the District.
