Changes to Utility Invoices

Residents will notice changes to their Utility Invoices beginning this month; some residents will even receive their first Utility Invoice from the District of Lake Country. 

Second Quarter Utility Invoices are in the mail now. Administrative changes for processing invoices mean property owners in Lake Country will now find garbage, recycling and sewer user fees, if applicable, on their Utility Invoices in addition to the usual water user fees.

Swimming/Beach Water Quality Advisory on Wood Lake Removed

A Swimming/Beach Water Quality Advisory in place since the first week of July has been removed for Beasley Park as well as Reiswig Regional Park on Wood Lake in Lake Country.


The most recent bacterial water test results are again within acceptable Guidelines for Canadian Recreational Water Quality allowing swimming at the waterfront park.

Reminder to Lake Country Residents: The Regional District Waste Reduction Office is hosting a pop-up recycling depot  in Lake Country this Saturday - July 16; (and again August 20, and September 17, so mark your calendar!). The pop-ups run from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the parking lot at the corner of Main Street and Hill Road (3165 Hill Road, across from the former Kangaroo farm).
