In accordance with Part 16 of the Local Government Act, the properties described hereunder shall be offered for sale by Public Auction in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Hall, 10150 Bottom Wood Lake Road, Lake Country, BC, on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 10:00 am, unless the delinquent taxes with interest, are paid prior to the start of the sale.

Campfire Ban ends September 12, 2018

Effective immediately, the ban on campfires has been lifted in most Central Okanagan areas. Campfires are not permitted at any time within the City of Kelowna.

The ban on campfires within local government fire jurisdictions in the Central Okanagan has been in place since July 26th. Forecast showers and cooler temperatures are reducing the potential fire threat.

With appropriate precautions to prevent the spread of fire, campfires are once again allowed within the Regional District of Central Okanagan...

Kelowna, BC – Central Okanagan Public Schools is seeking suggestions from the community to

name a new middle school in the Lake Country area. Currently known as Lake Country Middle
School, the facility will serve grade 6 to 8 students in the area. Construction will begin in the

Council has been asked to consider District-initiated Zoning Amendment (Zoning Amendment (DLC) Bylaw 1066, 2018 (P2017-012)) that would enable breweries, distilleries and meaderies to locate in Lake Country.

Zoning Amendment (DLC) Bylaw 1066, 2018 would:

  • Add the following definitions “BREWERIES AND DISTILLERIES, MAJOR”, BREWERIES AND DISTILLERIES, MINOR” and “WINERIES, CIDERIES AND MEADERIES”  to Section 3.3.3 of Zoning Bylaw 561, 2007;
  • Delete the definition “WINERIES AND CIDERIES” in Section 3.3...
