Lake Country community members are being asked to provide input on programs and services offered by the District of Lake Country. The online survey will be open until midnight on May 21st. All respondents will have the option to enter a draw for one (1) of three (3) $200 gift certificates to any local Lake Country business, winners’ choice.

Effective 8:00 a.m. May 15, 2023 the 70% axle weight load restrictions on Lake Country roads have been removed.
Seasonal load restrictions are put into place to protect our roads from damage or failure during the spring when the winter’s frost is thawing and the snow melt and rain have saturated the road base material. Damage done to roads is usually deeper than just on the surface and can end up costing hundreds of thousands, or potentially millions, of dollars to repair.

Water Quality Advisory for Coral Beach Water System

In cooperation with the Interior Health Authority, the District of Lake Country has issued a Water Quality Advisory for 58 residential customers on the Coral Beach Water System.
The north-west end of Okanagan Lake is experiencing a heavy freshet that is carrying a large amount of debris into the lake. As a result, there is an increase in turbidity (cloudiness). The rise in turbidity has been observed at the Coral Beach water intake, and a precautionary Water Quality Advisory is being issued.
