Hikers, Spion Kop trail users, and residents in Raven Ridge and The Lakes area may notice Ministry of Forests contractor crews working on Spion Kop January to March doing some machine and hand thinning, pruning, surface debris clean up, piling and burning of debris, in an effort to reduce the wildfire risk in Lake Country. Council Meeting on March 7 to hear comments from interested parties
The District of Lake Country is proposing closing an unbuilt portion of Whiskey Cove Road adjacent to the property located at 15892 Carr’s Landing Road, as shown on Plan EPP124539, and removing its highway dedication for the purpose of selling the land to be consolidated with the adjacent parcel, owned by Martin and Catherine Burnely.
